Oscar Oscar Salons has just wrapped up for this years 2011 RAFW. A few Oscar Oscar star-stylists has the opportunity to work backstage with Cloud Nine at this years event for designers Shakuhachi, Lisa Blue, Alice McCall and Camilla & Marc! A big round-of-applause to the hard working team which included Paloma Rose Garcia, Matthew Jones, Alyce Lees, Mia Doak, Courtney Bates, Ashlee McDonald and John Colantuono.

Alyce Lees, joined Oscar Cullinan for a whirl-wind trip to London to present two look & learn seminars at the Aveda World Master Jam in front of an international audience.

Jess Wang, one of our talented hair stylists from Indooroopilly in Queensland, recently created this textured up-style for a recent Courier Mail spring fashion photohoot. The gorgeous shoot was taken in a picture perfect park in New Farm with a backdrop of gorgeous Jacaranda trees.

"For this look I used Aveda Volumising Tonic to plump up the hair, and then continued to texture-set the hair with crimpers and Aveda Air Control. I then brushed out the hair to create even more volume and a modern wispy style, which we then used to created a quiff through the front and chignon at the back. The overall look was a modern natural up-style perfect for spring parties!" - Jess Wang

Paloma is a Master Stylist for Oscar Oscar Salons in Sydney and has developed a reputation as an up & coming editorial stylist, working on photoshoots for various magazines and fashion designers such as, Romance Was Born, Ellery and Gary Begini. Paloma has also worked backstage on numerous Australian Fashion Week shows and has built a local A-list clientele including Tim Hoey from Australian electro group Cut Copy, Kim Moyes from the Presets, Kym Ellery, Anna Plunkett from Romance was Born, as well as styling hair for Carine Rotifeld, Editor of French Vogue, while she was in Australia.

The latest issue of AHJ Magazine features a step-by-step recreation of the fantastic rockabilly quiff Paloma created for Spencer Webbers 2010 Fashion Week debut.

Our lovely Brisbane hairdresser and Art Director, Kodie Weick, had the chance to work with Lorna Jane styling their latest look-book! The Lorna Jane catch phrase is 'Where Sports Meets Fashion", so Kodie created Rihanna inspired textured hair for their gorgeous model.

"I started preparing the look by preparing the hair with Aveda Phomollient Styling Foam and Volumising Tonic to give the hair texture and grip. I then used a barrel brush to blowdry the hair and finished the look by scrunching Aveda Defining Whip through the ends for a disheveled look." - Kodie Weick
